PART 2: Formal Family Holiday Photoshoot in Deep Green & Black Outfits
Yesterday, I shared that my mom’s most recent Christmas Eve tradition is to host a formal family dinner! We have beef tenderloin and lobster bisque, a cocktail hour with family photos, and a charcuterie board before dinner is served. It is the epitome of a chic Christmas Eve. In preparation for this year, I showed my outfit inspo for formal family holiday photoshoots and events with my sister (who also has two littles & a husband to dress for the occasion). She said THIS green and black formal family outfit was her favorite! In fact, she said she was stealing it…and I couldn’t be more flattered because I think my sister does a literal perfect job at dressing herself and her family! Let’s break down what I found:

Today’s formal dress shoutout has to go to Lulus. The search tool on their website will be your best friend when it comes to finding a coordinating dress for your family photoshoot this holiday season. You can search by color, silhouette, season, fabric, length, style, and even size, which I find helpful! I’m not trying to fall in love with a dress as I’m browsing only to find it’s sold out in my size, you know what I mean?
The emerald high-low dress instantly caught my attention when I was searching for family photo outfit inspo, but after further scrolling through the green dress selection from Lulus, I found more gorgeous choices!!

I’ve mentioned this tip before, but I almost always start my family photo outfit planning with mom’s outfit. From there, I determine who else in the group is going to wear the same color or shade. With this collection, it was so fun finding coordinating options for the little ones! How adorable is the velvet vest for brother's formal outfit? My little guys are one and three and I can totally see my oldest looking so dapper.
One toddler dress note: If you’re having trouble finding formal dresses for toddler girls, use the word “pageant” in your search. Don’t worry; they aren’t a million dollars (some are), but I have had great luck finding dresses with beautiful fabrics and shapes for little girls by using that search term!

Nothing fancy, but hey, wouldn’t Dad prefer it that way? As I shared yesterday, Express has some of the most affordable suit options. Especially if the man in your life is tall and slim, like my husband, we are always able the right sizes online at Express!
