INPSO: Three Mom Outfits for Family Pictures
Why is it so hard to find the right mom outfit for family pictures?? It typically goes one of two ways for me. ONE, I find everyone in the family’s outfit first, and then I’m left with trying to curate an all-too-specific coordinating piece (which turns out to be impossible). OR, I try to procure a cute outfit I saw on Pinterest and it ends up going totally against my typical style or body shape. Here’s my thought for today: can we normalize finding the mom family photo outfit FIRST??
I went ahead and created three mom outfits to get you started and added their coordinating family outfits for good measure!
1. Brown & Cream Family Photo Outfits
I will forever love brown, it’s classy and timeless, what’s not to love? Plus, the fact that chocolate brown is a trending color for Winter 2024 family photos is giving me life!
I’ve owned this brown dress from Amazon for a while now and the boots should arrive next week. I’m confident these are outfits that we wouldn’t only wear for family photos, but other events and special occasions too!
2. Hunter Green & Brown Family Photo Outfits
I guess I’m suggesting that everyone get a spray tan this Winter because I know the browns, greens and creams are calling my name. I shared this viral green sweater dress from H&M in my last blog post and I had to make sure she made an appearance in the mom-dress-family-pictures-outfit-round-up. She deserves to be here!
We visited London this year and all I was imagining when I put these outfits together was outdoor family photos on the steps of a gorgeous cathedral. Wouldn’t that be incredible? Even if you can’t make it to cathedral, these winter colors are perfect for family pictures!
3. Blue, Cream & Black Family Photo Outfits
Now before you quote Alan Jackson (Gone Country) on me, I have to say, the western boot trend has been around for a hot minute and I hope it’s here to stay! A trending color for Winter 2024 is cobalt blue…which is extremely out of my comfort zone. Heck, blue in general is out of my comfort zone, but I thought I would start with a blue dress for mom in this family photo outfit idea and ease into the trend!
Out of my comfort zone or not, these blues would be beautiful in an open-field, outdoor family photoshoot! Hopefully with a warming structure close by (wink!).
I’m closing down my first week of blogging about family photo outfit ideas and can I just share with you all that I’m feeling proud and accomplished!! It takes a lot of effort to bring these posts to life, but I’ve enjoyed every second.
